Our "Big Girl"

Chris calls Rylee "Big Girl" and she kicks, smiles, and laughs. She loves it!




Rylee is also starting to enjoy sitting up and grabbing for toys.

She sings, talks, or chants, herself to sleep. It's fun to listen to her talk.

4 Months

Rylee is 4 months already! She had another set of immunizations. I hate immunizations! She sleeps horribly for the next few nights.

We're working really hard to get a sleep schedule and routine going for her. She does not take very good naps during the day. When she woke up last night, we let her cry herself back to sleep twice. It's a hard thing to do. But she woke up very happy this morning. We'll keep trying to encourage longer sleep periods at night and more consistent daytime napping. Chris & I need it!

She drools a lot, but doesn't seem to be getting teeth yet. I'm glad!


She sure loves her daddy! She falls asleep in his arms whenever she can.


She wants to sit up. She tries on her own. It's pretty entertaining. She enjoys sitting in her chair for a few minutes, but then she gets bored and wants to do something else. She gets bored very quickly!

She's such a happy baby, it's easy to love her.


She's been watching college basketball with her dad and Grandpa Mortensen. We love when he comes to visit! Grandma Francom came to visit, but of course we didn't get any pictures. Dang it! Hopefully she'll come visit again soon and I'll remember to pull out the camera.

Teething?

Can my baby possibly be teething already!?! She's a few days shy of 3 months, but she's starting to drool, chew on everything she can, and last night woke-up every hour to eat about 1/2 oz (NOT typical of her). I don't want her to grow up so quickly!

Growing up

Rylee is sure getting big! She's so much fun. She's started to play with and pull my hair when I'm feeding her. She loves her swing, given to her by her Aunt Jenny. She hates tummy time and wants to roll over. I'll be so proud when she does!

I absolutely hate leaving her to go to work. Luckily, she stays with my sister. Rylee loves her Aunt Lori. When she can't stay with Lori, it's off to Aunt Lisa's. When she can't stay with Lisa, it's off to Grandma & Grandpa Mortensen's. I'm glad to have family nearby to help.

Merry Christmas!

It was a good Christmas! Rylee had fun wearing our bows. She also wore her cousin Blair's Christmas pajamas.












We did our annual tradition of The Night Under the Christmas Tree. We stayed at Lisa's and had a good time. We each got to open one present. Chris got the Cabela's Dangerous Hunt 2011 Wii Game. He's already killed a grizzly, elk, crocs, cougars, and lions. He's quite the hunter.

We had tons of fun with Rylee for her 1st Christmas. We're looking forward to next year when she will open her own gifts.

Chubby Cheeks

Our baby is getting bigger! She's gained 2 lbs now. Her cheeks are getting chubby, and we LOVE it! Chris carries her like she's his little football.
